Training Course - Asana Technique - Yoga Therapy

The Teacher training course:The Teacher training course: at Yoga India is offered 5 times a year. The Course lasts for 8 weeks. (Entry only 9 people) For more information about dates please contact Yoga India via e-mail: yogaindia@gmail.com

To join the course you are required to stay for the full 8 weeks.  Classes will be given from Monday to Saturday.

The goal of the Teacher Training Course is to bring the future teachers in the position to teach beginners and intermediate students with knowledge and self-confidence.

The TTC is only for experienced or at least intermediate students.

The Teacher Training by Yoga India is divided into 7 parts. It is designed to meet the expectations of the

Yoga Alliance.

The 7 parts are:

  1. Technique, includes the training and practice of: asanas, pranayamas, kriyas, chanting, and meditation
  2. Teaching: includes the training and teaching of demonstration, observation, assisting/correcting, instruction, teaching styles, qualities of a teacher and the student's process of learning
  3. Anatomy and Physiology: includes the study of physical anatomy, the skeleton, organs and muscles, cardiovascular system, Pancha Kosha  & nutrition
  4. Philosophy and Ethics: this part includes the study of yoga scriptures, ethics for yoga teachers, life of a yogi
  5. Practicum: In these hours the students have to observe and assist classes lead by the main teacher and also teach by themselves.
  6. Karma Yoga: the students have to help to run the Yoga-school. Includes office work, organization and public relations.
  7. Self-practice: study of books and discussion and practice of all above mentioned topics in a group.

The students have the possibility to observe and assist the main teacher for approximately 10 lessons. During that time the students gain knowledge of the methodology of teaching which includes the principles of demonstration, instructions and observation.

Additionally, the students have the possibility to teach at least 5 hours with the supervision of the main teacher and eventually unsupervised.

The basics of anatomy and physiology will be introduced and explained by an experienced local doctor. Topics will include; the structure and function of the skeleton, the main organs and muscles and the respiratory and the cardiovascular systems.

Ethical code of conduct:

1.Please discuss your chosen course before registering. Once registered, refunds or exchanges cannot be given.
2.Please join the class only if you have a real interest and belief in the system of Yoga India.
3.Pay the prescribed fee before starting the course. Only Indian Rupees are accepted.
4.Money once paid will neither be refunded nor transferred under any circumstances.
5.Moderate dress code is mandatory. 6.Maintain silence in the institution premises.
7.A decent and dignified behavior is expected from all students. Once inside the premises, loud speaking, hugging your partner, speaking indecent words and the practice of other systems are strictly prohibited.
8.Be regular and punctual. Follow the class timings precisely. A maximum delay of two classes is allowed in a month. After that you will not allowed to enter the present class.
9.If you are unable to attend your class, please inform the teacher as soon as possible.
10.No kind of disobedience is allowed. All doubts, questions, complaints, suggestions etc. should be discussed with teacher in a polite way at an appropriate time. Do not talk during the class.
11.Leave the practice room within 5 minutes after your class has finished.
12.Please do not touch the teacher for any reason or use his things. And should be addressed respectfully.



If I am not maintained above mentioned rules, The Director of the Institute has all the right to take action against me or dismiss me out of the Institute.
